Identity (ID) Verification

there is no menu item for verification by ID when I follow the link there is no such page either ... what is the problem please help me to pass verification. thanks

Hi Roman,

 

If you are eligible or required to receive an “Identity Verified” badge, you can complete the two stages by going to Identity Verification in your Settings.

 

You may be asked to complete a visual verification and provide a valid government-issued ID. Acceptable documents include passport, national ID card (NIC/CNIC), driver's license, NBI Clearance (Philippines only), tax ID, voter ID, postal ID, or any other valid government-issued photo ID that meets these criteria.

 

Note that we occasionally ask users to re-verify because periodic checks ensure their accounts continue to reflect accurate information. Our goal is to make this process as seamless as possible and we thank you for your contribution to keeping Upwork a professional and safe community.



If you don't see a way to verify, that may be because you're not eligible yet. Please know that verification cannot be requested, but is slowly being rolled out to all talent. If the team finds the need to verify your account, you will be notified through an email, or through a notification in your account.

Hi, I'm new to upwork and got a notification to verify my ID, and have sent my national id photos (on the 27th) and passport photos (yesterday) along with a selfie about 4 days ago and am afraid that it won't be verified on time, before the 4th of Dec. It keeps saying they are reviewing it and may take up tp 1-3 days and it is still not approved yet. Is there anything that can be done to get it approved?

Hi Mark,

 

I checked and it doesn't look like you are required to complete any verification at the moment. The team will let you know if there is a need for any verification in the future.

Hello Upwork,

I submitted my documents for ID verification last Saturday. As they have said this will take up to 1-3 business  day, I have waited. But, now 6 days passed still I haven't heard anything from them. How long does this usually take?

Try to contact upwork support team.They will verify it manually and soon.Use "get support"

I've made an account with Upwork and I am stuck at the verification of my email step because I am not recieving any verification mails. I've tried for hours on end but even after requesting multiple resends, the mail just won't come.

I've checked the junk folder and the spam folder and contact Gmail support too, and they tell me the mail never reached their servers.
I haven't recieved an email from Upwork on signing up or for verification.

Can somebody help me resolve this issue please!

Hi Muhammad,

 

I have checked your account and looks like it doesn't need further verification just yet. Please note that you will not be able to initiate the identity verification yourself and it cannot be requested. If the team finds the need for you to do it, you will receive an email detailing the instructions on how to complete your verification.

I am talking about the email verification that I'm trying to complete as I can't set up my profile because it is not letting me through without verifying my account.
There is no email that I am getting from Upwork except the community welcome email that I recieved from Upwork.

I have got two questions. The first one is I accidentally uploaded the wrong id document image in the id document verification and the deadline is the 6th of December, so I need to upload the correct id document before the account gets locked because I have gotten nearly an offer, but if the account gets locked on the 6th of December, then how I would work?

The second question is I just worked on an hourly job; the contract ended 3 hours prior to the 1st of December which I can see in "All Contracts". As a rule of thumb, I have given the review as well to get the feedback depicted.

But my "work history" is blank, and no funds are shown. 
You know the importance of Work history with jobs, reviews, and id issues.

Moreover, I have submitted the relevant documentation to the team.

Today is already the 2nd of December, and no one has responded yet.
Kindly assist me with all of these concerns!

If you get first order., than you can see this menu/notification. Otherwise this menu/notification not show
