Hi. I am stuck in some kind of loop. I have received several requests to verify my identity yesterday and today. I keep using my phone to take a picture of the front and back of my drivers license and then do a quick selfie. It always says "thanks for your submission" and then it says it's undergoing a manual review. A few hours later I get another request to do it all over again.
I think I've subitted it 5 or 6 times. Should I be doing something different? Am I doing something wrong? Can you help?

I am sorry to hear about the issue you encountered when trying to complete the ID verification process. In some cases, if you try to submit a document from the list and we can't automatically verify your submission, it will undergo a manual review process. If this happens, please allow 1-3 days for the team to finish their review.
If you do not have any documents from the list, you can submit a different government-issued ID, ensuring it's unexpired and valid. You may need to try multiple times and this will also trigger a manual review process. Please avoid cropping, altering, or uploading a screenshot of your ID card. Acceptable documents include a passport, national ID card (NIC/CNIC), driver's license, NBI Clearance (Philippines only), tax ID, voter ID, postal ID, or any other valid government-issued photo ID that meets these criteria.

Hello I'm having the same issue, I'm in Nigeria, I have been using my Upwork account for the past one year and I verified my account when I got my first offer! Now I have been stocked in the process of re-verifying my account. I recently ended a contract on Upwork and the next I received a pop-up message to reverify my account, I have submitted my ID, the one I used before that's NIN but this time it's not been approved automatically it's saying THANKS FOR YOUR SUBMISSION, UNDERGOING MANUAL REVIEW!! please I have done this almost three times it keeps saying the same thing.
I have been given a deadline to reverify my account which is tomorrow 16-08-2024 does this mean by tomorrow my account will be suspended? Please do something. Thanks.

I have changed it after reading the guidelines, now I have changed it again because it was not reflecting anywhere else except in my profile. My main issue is not with the ID, but rather with the photo verification via selfie. It automatically goes to manual review after doing it each time. Please let me know if there are any other issues with the verification process.

Hello,
I am stuck in a "Appear on camera" loop, where I take a selfie and it goes to a manual review. I have gone through the process three times, I followed all the guidelines for the process as well(Well lit room, face is clearly visible, no other faces in the frame, nice camera etc) . I haven't received any communication via email as to why my profile is stuck on this step. Any help is much appreciated

The status has not changed. I have the selfie with a government ID no place to upload it. I cannot take this to the visual verification level.

I sumbited my iIdentity verification a few times and each time it asked to retake a picture of my ID, I did it like 2 times with my driving license and 2times with my ID. Now the marks that were green check marks are yellow with exlacamtion mark and I cannot resumbit my ID which I have no idea why I even needed to retake those 3 or 4 times I don't even know how many times it was. All I want is to verify my account and continue on my freelance journey. I tried to contact support but all I got was to chat with their AI Bot which did not help at all. Can anyone please guide me and help me with this issue.

I've been experiencing an issue with the background color of images I upload to Upwork. The system seems to apply a background color that differs significantly from what I see on my end. I've checked the color profiles and quality of my images, but the discrepancy persists.

i had already had verifified my identity when i made my profile. When i went to apply to my first job i had to verify again using my phone number for a code, but it say i exceeded my tries to send the code which is not accurate at all. So now im just stuck in a forever loop, and this has been going on for several days now.

I have the same problem, than i posted just like you did. Than someone told me a seperate ticket is created for you. I waited and eventually went to sleep next day i found someone named Cynthia saying provide your number which i did and till now no repsonse. Upwork should really hire some people to respond faster!
