Identity Verification is under Manual Review

Hi. I am stuck in some kind of loop. I have received several requests to verify my identity yesterday and today. I keep using my phone to take a picture of the front and back of my drivers license and then do a quick selfie. It always says "thanks for your submission" and then it says it's undergoing a manual review. A few hours later I get another request to do it all over again. 


I think I've subitted it 5 or 6 times. Should I be doing something different? Am I doing something wrong? Can you help?

I am sorry to hear about the issue you encountered when trying to complete the ID verification process. In some cases, if you try to submit a document from the list and we can't automatically verify your submission, it will undergo a manual review process. If this happens, please allow 1-3 days for the team to finish their review. 

 

If you do not have any documents from the list, you can submit a different government-issued ID, ensuring it's unexpired and valid. You may need to try multiple times and this will also trigger a manual review process. Please avoid cropping, altering, or uploading a screenshot of your ID card. Acceptable documents include a passport, national ID card (NIC/CNIC), driver's license, NBI Clearance (Philippines only), tax ID, voter ID, postal ID, or any other valid government-issued photo ID that meets these criteria.

Several days have already passed but still I have no progress in my ID verfication.

I resubmitted my selfie and document several times in order to complete the verificaiton.

As I know, approval could be delayed up to 2 or 3 days but it's been over 4 days.

I would appreciate it if someone could solve my problem.

The account is saying action required verify your identity and upon clicking it brings be back to thenpage where I already submitted my documents and says under manual review and i receive messages that my account is no longer available.. what is the problem i dont know!

Hello, I have a problem with my identity verification. I have already submitted my national ID card (Madagascar) 6 times and I have followed the recommendations to the letter (all 4 corners visible, 200 dpi, with photo, etc.). I checked, and it seems that your previous submission was rejected because we were unable to authenticate your last ID submission. You will need to submit an image of an alternate government-issued photo ID. You can refer to this help page for the list of acceptable documents.

I have a concern regarding identity verification. Upwork keeps rejecting my NBI Clearance (as stated in the Government ID verification) even though I followed all the instructions. Is there anyone who could help me?

It initially shows a green check mark to indicate that my ID was accepted, but then after a couple of minutes, it changes back to showing that no ID has been added. Hi. I am from the philippines and I have been trying to Verify my account for the past 3 months but it always fails. support said that NBI clearance is acceptable for anyone in the phillipines but it doesnt want to approve my verification request. Now my account is suspended (I created this new account to be able to post here)

Hello, I just got my first contract on Upwork and I'm excited to proceed with it. However, I got asked to verify my identity right after.

 

I submitted an ePhilID (national ID) during Identity Verification as I still have not received the physical ID card (national ID). However, it keeps getting rejected.

 

I have used this same ID to get verified on other platforms with no problems.

 

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) states that, the ePhilID has the same validity and functionality as the physical PhilID card. Furthermore, the PSA recently issued a public advisory to ensure that the ePhilID and other formats of the digital PhilID shall be recognized in all transactions needing proof of identity and age, subject to authentication. 

 

I was informed that upon verification requirement, it must be done within 7 days or else the account will be put on hold. This ID should be accepted.

I have similar issue..

I submitted my voters card which was issued by the federal government and it's one of the major identification means in Nigeria...I don't own a car to have a dl or international passport..

No way to submit a ticket or speak to someone..

I got a job running and had to slow down.

please I really need help.

It looks like you need to upload an alternate document to complete the verification process. To verify your identity, you will need to take a picture of your government-issued ID. The acceptable forms of ID vary by country and are listed on the form.

  • This ID must include your picture, signature, name, date of birth, and address, with the exception of passports, which don't need your address
  • The documents we accept include passport, national ID card (NIC/CNIC), driver's license, NBI Clearance (Philippines only), tax ID, voter ID, postal ID, or any other valid government-issued photo ID that meets these criteria.

I keep uploading my NIC document but it is not accepted, I don't know why. The document include my photo, name, date of birth and every thing that should be included. I don't know if I can have a video chat with you to prove my identity. I await your response. Thanks

Hi,

 

I have been seeing this message since this morning. I have tried to upload my driver's license a couple of times this week. Now, it is showing me this image. I am unable to apply for other jobs or submit my proposal. Many features are restricted because of this.

Goodday Mr Luiggi, I've been having issues with trying to do my identity verification. Especially concerning my ID card, I've used my voter's card and my NIN ID card yet nothing. I don't know what else to do. What do you recommend because I really want to get my verification done to show that I am genuine.
