Is there any alternative to the tax returns?

Hello! As the title says, I am wondering if there is an alternative to providing Upwork with tax returns. I am a non-US citizen, but in my country freelancing isn't taxed and aside from that I have no other form of income, as I am a student. I literally have no tax returns that I can provide, unless I use my parents'

Is there any alternative to this, some way to prove that I am not an US citiizen? Or am I just meant to accept it and give up 30% of my earnings to Upwork to send to the IRS?
