Payment not received to my PayPal

Whenever i try to withdraw my money using paypal, payment method fails and money is credited back to my upwork account.

The following is the received mail:

We attempted to process your recent payment request but unfortunately it failed.

The reason for returned funds: Unable to apply funds.

As a result, the funds have been returned to your Upwork account and we need you to update your payment method for future payments.

Hi Mariam,

 

I am sorry to hear about the trouble withdrawing your funds. I checked the withdrawal you are referring to and it appears that there is a problem with either your PayPal account or the PayPal details added to your Upwork account. Could you please reach out to PayPal support to check the status of your account and try adding the  PayPal account again?

Dear UpWork Support Team,
 
I hope this message finds you well.
 
I am currently facing an issue with transferring funds from my UpWork account to my PayPal account. Unfortunately, my PayPal account has been permanently blocked. I have been informed by PayPal that any money transfer in process will be automatically returned to UpWork if the funds are not deposited into my PayPal account. 
 
Could you please confirm if this is the case? Additionally, if the funds are indeed in limbo, is there a way to expedite the reversal process so that the money is promptly returned to UpWork?
 
I appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter as swiftly as possible.

If your PayPal account was limited, you're screwed.

Hi Zhuo,

 

I am sorry to hear about your PayPal account. I understand your concern regarding your fund withdrawal in process and I will be happy to assist you with this matter.

 

While we are unable to stop or reverse the transaction already initiated from your Upwork account, I can confirm that your funds will be automatically returned to your Upwork account if the fund transfer is rejected by PayPal. If you do not see funds in your PayPal or Upwork account after eight business days, feel free to message us and we will be happy to investigate this further.

Hello i dont know if anybody else are going to see this but i wanted to add the payment method to send money from upwork to my paypal account but it still do not work and they are in the same email and same legal banking name as well but still do not know what else to do i need help with it hopefully somebody can answer this it would be very helpful.

I cant login to my PayPal account. I dont have access to it anymore. However today i get paid from upwork to my unaccessable PayPal account. I want my money to be returned and get paid using another payment method. i have transaction ID. I want your help

I checked your recent transaction and saw that it was successful. You may want to contact Paypal about this so that they can check and assist you in accessing the recently transferred funds.

I can't access my PayPal account anymore. That is why i am seeking help from here. Is there any possible way that Upwork can return back my money to my Upwork account? PayPal said that you are to be able to refund the transaction.

Thank you for reaching out. I checked your account and see no restriction on your payment method and the "Get Paid" button is enabled. Could you please try again and let us know if the issue persists?

Hi,

I recently tried to withdraw money from my Upwork account via PayPal, but the payment was rejected. I received an email stating:

"We attempted to process your recent payment request, but unfortunately, it failed. The reason for returned funds: Unable to apply funds. As a result, the funds have been returned to your Upwork account, and we need you to update your payment method for future payments."

I'm not entirely sure what this means or how to proceed. Also, since the failed transaction, my PayPal account has become inactive on the Upwork platform. Could you please guide me on reactivating my PayPal account and ensure future withdrawals go through smoothly?

Hello joanne,

I received a message from PayPal customer support confirming that my account is now eligible to receive payments. However, on Upwork, my PayPal account still shows as inactive.

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue, or let me know how to reactivate my PayPal on Upwork? According to PayPal, the payment on September 17th was denied because my account wasn't set up to receive payments, but everything should be in order now.

I have added a Withdrawal method (Paypal) but it shows as inactive.

Please could you help activate payment method so that withdrawal schedule can be activated.

Hi Luiggi,
I hope you are doing well,

I have a problem transferring my payment to PayPal; After Upwork showed a dialog indicating that the payment was successful, I received emails indicating that my payment failed and the PayPal method was disabled. Then I contacted PayPal support to check if my account has any issues and they answered that my account is in a good standing and there are no issues in it to receive payments from Upwork.

I can't find a way to contact support.
And I would really appreciate any help from you to solve the issue.
