Phone Number is already in use

Hello, Upwork

I too am having trouble verifying my number. When I get my money to my local bank, I can not get code verifying to my phone or my E-mail, I tried it in 2 days and it is the same problem. Would you be able to have a team member reach out to me as well?

If you need help verifying your phone number, it would be best if you reach out directly to our support team so they can assist you within a private and secure channel of communication. 

 

How do I reach a human in customer support?

 

  1. Select Get Support at the bottom of the Help Center page
  2. Type a question or topic and select "Send." The bot will find relevant Help articles for you.
  3. If we don't find the information you need after a few tries, you’ll see an option under the article selections to "Contact Support"
  4. Select "Contact Support" and follow the options provided

I've tried several times to get the text verification code to be sent to me to finish setting up my profile, but it hasn't been sent. Can someone from the admin team contact me to assist further?

I can’t verify my phone number, I had another account with a different email and the same phone number but that account is closed and I made a new account with my new email and it won’t let me verify the number because it’s been used for the other account. Can someone help me with this? Thank you.

Hello,

I'm trying to register but it says my phone number is already used by another account so I can't activate my account. I don't have another account that uses this phone number.

 

What can I do? I don't have another phone number I can use.

HELLO -I have tried diff browsers, computers and phones.  I never recieve my text to verify this is very frustrating. I type in my phone number and never recieve my text.

I have tried clearing my cookies, switching from my 2.4 to 5 wifi, I have tried using 5g with my phone, switching browsers, incognito mode, using a different device, I have checked my information and it is correct. I just wish there was an option to call me and have a text-to-speech voice tell me my code because at least that actually works. If this helps I have a Google Pixel 6 and my carrier is T-Mobile.

I see that you reached out to us yesterday here for the same reason, though the account you posted from is different from the one you're currently using now. I'd like to take a moment to remind you that having multiple accounts is considered a serious violation of the Upwork TOS, and you should refrain from closing an account to open up a new one. I am trying to set up my account and when I get to the phone verification part I input the code I was sent but nothing happens. I am unable to verify and submit my account. I tried clearing my cache and cookies but that did not help.
