Phone Number is already in use

I am having a similar issue. I am setting up a personal freelancer account and I need a phone number to proceed with the final step but my phone number is also being used for a client account which I need. Could someone advise please.

I too need assistance with this issue. Someone else seems to have used my number in the past to create an account. I need to free my number so I can get verification texts to apply for jobs on your site with my account.

I've got a second phone but the code doesn't come to that  one outside of UK.

As a result I exceeded the code limit.

How do I finally post a job on Upwork?

Hello, 

I am having the same issue. I was able to set up the authenticator app and also verify my phone number in the password and security tab in my settings but when I go to apply for a job it wants me to authenticate my phone number and once my number is typed in it says I have attempted too many times to change my pin. Please help as the chatbot is not being useful in this situation.

Thank you, normally when will they reply to me?

I was getting "Phone Number is already in use" messages, So changed phone number and get verified again and again.

Now I can't verify anymore, I have created ticket but didn't get any support reply. 

How do I have to do?

I also need support. I can't get past the AI chat bot and I just upgraded my account. So that's unfortunate. Also, in my requests tab I do not see an option to open  new ticket. Can you hep me? And is it possible to figure out why chat support does't come with my upgrade option?
