Phone Number is already in use

I am having a similar issue. I am setting up a personal freelancer account and I need a phone number to proceed with the final step but my phone number is also being used for a client account which I need. Could someone advise please.

Unable to verify via text message due to "Phone number already in use". I cant recall any other accounts I might have created and would like to utilize a newly created account.

Hello, I just signed up for upwork but when I try to post a job I get a message syaing my phone number is already in use by another account. I cannot post anything, I am stuck.

I must've signed up for an Upwork account ages ago and used my phone number during that process. I closed all of my other accounts, but now even when I go to use my phone number to apply for work, I get the "Phone number already in use, contact support...". I cannot find any way to talk to a human being to have this reset. The chat bot is useless. No matter how many times I repeat the issue about wanting to submit a ticket it just spits out this nonsense. Is there no email address for Upwork support at all?

Rejection of phone number when submitting for verification.
This is my phone number which I have used for my freelancer and agency accounts. 
Now, when trying to post from my client account, I cannot verify.

I am also getting a message that says my phone number is already in use. It's possible that I had an Upwork account with another phone number in the past, but my old email address is no longer in use. Any help resolving this would be much appreciated. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hello I cannot add my phone number to account to post a job because it says phone number is with another account, but that account was deleted. I keep trying to contact support but it sends me down a rabbit hole here and there. This is ridiculous. 

Deleted account need some time to remove from upwork. So if you have another phone number use it.

Click on the three dots on the right-hand side at the top of your post. Scroll down to contact a forum moderator. Leave a message asking them to create a support ticket for your issue.

Help! My account is saying my phone number is already in use, and I can't remember or find other possible accounts. I've tried the AI help bot read all articles and want to submit a help request! I also am wondering if they can help find other profiles I might have?

None of the AI chat or forum articles can help with my request. I keep finding you will get asked to put in a help ticket but I can't find that and the chat bot doesn't offer it. I am desperate to find where else my phone number is tied to, I deleted it from all profiles and don't know if I have another profile somewhere? Help!!

I lost access to my old account - I'd like to start freelancing again and tried to make a new account but my phone number is registered to the old one.  I recently found out that starting a new account is seen as having multiple accounts, too - which is not allowed.  I can't seem to find a way to reach a real person at Upwork to help me solve this.  I  just need one working account that I have access to - is it just impossible or can someone here help?

Hello, 
I am dealing with an error in my phone number. It keeps telling me that the number is already in use. There is no way to resolve this on my end and finding a way to talk to an actual human being that works for upwork has been a horrible process. This is my final death throw at trying to still use this platform. Can a support member please reachout to me **Edited for Community Guidelines** to assist me with this bug. Thank you.

I am unable to add my phone number to my account because it says it's being used by another account. I have tried all emails I have to figure out if there is another account under my name but was unable to come up with anything.

 

Is there a way to find out what email the other account using my phone number is or override the issue?

When I go to post a job it asks for my phone number and when I enter it**Edited for community guidelines**I get a message back saying that number is in use by another party and I can't find a way to fix this.
