Phone Number is already in use

I am having a similar issue. I am setting up a personal freelancer account and I need a phone number to proceed with the final step but my phone number is also being used for a client account which I need. Could someone advise please.

Hi Alex,

Hi I am just create a Upwork client account. But when I post my job on upwork, they just want to verify phone number. But when I provide my number then I don't receive any kind of code in my number. So what's the problem and what's the solutions.

Ive canceled the account that was utulizing my phone number but I am still getting a error when I try to input my phone number for my freelancer page it wont let me apply because it says the phone number is already used. Its been difficult to resolve this and would like additional support so I can start applying for jobs.

We understand how you want this issue resolved immediately. However, please be aware that users are only allowed to have one account and several violate Upwork's TOS.

What is the email/page associated with creating a support ticket. Not the chatbot. The chatbot said to reach out to support and led me in circles. I cannot complete my profile because it says my number is associated with another account and I have not created any other accounts. This has been one of the worst support experiences I have ever had.

When I apply for jobs it asks me to verify my phone number.

 

The number on the screen is mine but it says in use and won't send the text code, see the picture attached.

 

What can I do?

 

I started on a client account but then added a freelancer account on the same profile but it won't let me apply for things.

I cannot verify my phone number to submit for a job and apply.  It says my phone number is in use from another account and it is not.  I have no additional accounts.  I want to get this resolved so I can apply for jobs.

I receive this error when posting a job:

I accidentally created a Client account and when I tried to start making my freelancer account, I was towards the end of  filling out my info and hit a snag. It says my phone number is in use on another account and I'm assuming it's the client account. I'd like to get this fixed but if possible I'd like to delete the client account as well since I have no use for it.

Hello, I keep getting:

Phone number already in use. Please, check it and try again. If you're still having problems, please contact support.

Can someone please help me out? The bot is not helpful at all. It won't let me send an email to upwork to get this issue fixed. I can't apply to any proposals at the moment.

Hi there. I know there are other threads with this same issue but I'm not seeing a way to create my own ticket to report this problem. I've been unable to create my account because somehow my phone number was being used somewhere else.

obeviously, you have disabled your previous accunt and created a new-one. Mosly users do forget to change their regular contact number on such work space platforms, but program keeps save their contact number and information, so while creating a new account it happeds and you get received a pop-up that number is already in use... etc...

Hi. So I just made this account today, and I've been trying to solve this problem for about 2 hours now with no luck. The chat bot is definitely not helping, and I'm not sure why my phone number isn't being registered properly.
I have dyslexia, so I entered in my phone number wrong the first time when receiving a pin. That's fine, my fault. Then I re-entered my phone number correctly and I receive a pin. I enter the pin correctly and Upwork tells me its an incorrect pin. I'm not sure if it was on a different instance of me asking for a pin or what, but I did it 3 seperate times (with Upwork sending me the same pin each 3 times) and it still told me the pin was incorrect. I cannot apply for a job listing without my phone number, and I cannot get it to work anymore since any time I try to do anything, Upwork tells me that I have requested a pin too many times and it just blocks me from doing anything else.
What can I do?
