Phone Number is already in use

I am having a similar issue. I am setting up a personal freelancer account and I need a phone number to proceed with the final step but my phone number is also being used for a client account which I need. Could someone advise please.

Can someone PLEASE help me fix this issue? I can' apply for jobs while this is occurring.

Who has a solution for a duplicate phone number? I must have an old account from years ago but I'm not sure. Either way there's a duplicate phone number even though I still receive the codes on my phone and unable to contact anyone to assist with this issue.

I can't access the old email, so created a new account and can't verify it because the phone # is linked to the old account.  The bot is terrible and this is taking forever.  Please help.

I am having a similar issue. I have completed my profile, found some jobs to consider, but when I go to phone verification it does nothing. I checked the phone number and it is accurate. I removed it and put it back in, no luck. please help.

Hi there. I'm have an issue which stops me from applying to jobs because it always says "phone number already in use" on the phone number verfication stage. If I go on my profile it says this same number despite it apparently being used on another account. Despite many headaches regarding this I can't see a way around it, can someone help?

Have the same issue and need help ASAP please.  Phone # is in use because was linked to an old account with an email I can't access anymore.  Need help, this is crazy trying to get help from upwork 😞 One last shot before I go to a competitor. 😞
