Phone Number is already in use

I am having a similar issue. I am setting up a personal freelancer account and I need a phone number to proceed with the final step but my phone number is also being used for a client account which I need. Could someone advise please.

Hi,

My Name is Nageswara Rao Ganta, i am unable to complete the phone number verification while completing the profile. i am getting error, this phone number is being used by another account

 

please resolve this issue. do u have any best phone number to reach custer service to reslove my issue.

Hello,

I am trying to create an account and it says my phone number is already in use. I have tried using my other emails and either they aren't registered or the one that is has the same message. If I remember right I joined upwork a few years ago and nothing came of it and now I have some new credintials and need to use my proffesional email but I cannot use the same phone number. I'm not sure why the system is saying that the phone number is already in use even with the old email address.

I created my account but my number verification is failing saying the number is in use with another account. I've never used upwork before.  Please help for my phone number. I can not continue to search job.

I am experiincing a the common issue of "Phone Number is already in use" I dont know how to open a ticket or anything to get someone to look into the issue or contact a live agent. How can we fix this problem on my account?

If I understand your issue correctly, you need to contact Upwork. Recently, when I needed help, this is the email I used to contact Upwork: support@upwork.com. Use it, and perhaps they will get back to you.

Hi. I am unable to create my profile as the verifying process is not working for the phone number. It won't let me move on since I can't verify my phone number. I checked everything and tried to contact support through the messaging but it won't let me do that either. Someone please help.

I had another account with my phone number which I deleted. It now won't let me verify my phone number when applying for a job. It says "mobile number is alread is in use." 

 

The support is incredibly unhelpful. If anyone could help me sort this out I'd be super grateful.

Hi Amna,

Maybe you use your phone before in Upwork verification, so now you have to use other phone number . if u cant slove your problem, you have to talk support. They will help you more.

Hey Melany, Have you already registered on upwork using a different account maybe as a client ?
I would suggest raising a support ticket to get the issue resolved.
