Problems with login

Years ago I had set up an Upwork account, as a freelancer, I recently came back to Upwork looking to hire talent, however I believe I closed my account. When I try to use my email to login it is not recognized, however when I try to sign up for a new account it says that the email is already in use. How do I go about re-opening the account so that I may hire talent with my old email address?
