The beneficiary name is mismatched

Hello there,

 

at my payment methods it says that the beneficiary name is mismatched, I guess because my surnames in my bank account have accent marks and in my Upwork profile I can not put them.

Any chance you could have my payment method activated already?

Our account support team actively reviews verified name mismatches. Please allow up to 48 hours for the team to review the name mismatch on your account. If our team finds an issue with your payment method, we will reach out to you directly with instructions on how to correct it. You can learn more about this here.

 

If it’s been more than 48 hours and you still see the name mismatch notification on your account, a quick way to contact support is by clicking the "Get Support" button that shows at the bottom right corner of this page.

Hi! I made attempt to receive payment through bank transfer. But I received notification that my payment has been rejected due to invalid beneficiary name. My payment method also has been disabled.
I've changed my name account to match my bank account, but I don't received any notification of being under reviewed. Is my payment method already activated or should I wait for 48 hours to get it activated?

I have the same problem. At the payment methods section, it says that the beneficiary name is mismatched. I have waited for more than 48 hours and it is still same.

I have issues with adding payment method. It says my payment method has been deactivated because the beneficiary name is mismatched and it isn't. This is the second time I'm trying to add a payment method and it keeps telling me the same thing. Please I need your assistance.

Hello Arjay M, 
I having the same issue, I have add bank account and check the name between Upwork account and Bank account was exactly same. 
First, I have waiting for 48 hours to waiting verification progress. But until 1 month that's still verification progress.
I try to contact support by clicking "Get Support", but it just provide article that did not help verywell to solve my problem.
Second, I try to remove bank account and add again to payment method. But It's just same problem beneficiary mismatch name.
Thrid, today, I have try again to Re-Add bank account but I get same problem again.

Cat you help me to resolve this problem ? Because I am sure that the name was exactly same.

My account name is presented in latin, while my payment method is in Cyrillic. Can you please verify it?

Hi Team,

 

So i have a Freelancer Account as well as newly Agency Account. So when i am trying to add the Agency Bank Account then it is throwing Name mismatch Error. Can you just help me out with this.

 

Logically Name on the Account should be Company Account Name right?

I'm Facing the Same problem. When I get this message I thought Maybe my bank account has a problem But, I create another new account using a new sim card with all my real documents. still showing the same Your payment account name does not match your name on Upwork 

Please Help me

Greetings,

I made an account unfortunately with a wrong Gmail EMAIL account for someone who previously logged in into my account and Upwork picked up the wrong NAME.

I submitted the change Name request but it is refused.
