Unresponsive Freelancer

Hey there! I had hired a freelancer a month back for some of my video editing. I had divided the project into 3 milestones. Everything was going well and we were about to close the project. But after the 2nd milestone, the freelancer became unresponsive, deleted all the files from Google Drive, and has not been replying to my text messages. I have already released the payments to him for the first 2 milestones. What recourse do I have because after a month, I am left with less money, no work on the project, and just my time has been wasted.
