Urgent: Reporting Account Misuse and Potential Scam by **Edited**

Dear Upwork Support Team,I am writing to report a serious issue involving my Upwork account.

A user named **Edited for Community Guidelines** (profile link if available) has been attempting to scam me and misuse my account.

Here are the details:

Scammer Name: **Edited for Community Guidelines**

Communication: The scammer initially contacted me for a job, offering an unusually high payment (£3840) for converting images to text.

After completing the task, they requested I pay £185 for an "ACH payment virtual terminal" to receive my payment.

Account Misuse: **Edited for Community Guidelines** asked for my Upwork login credentials under the pretense of funding my account. After providing my credentials, I noticed that they posted jobs using my account without my authorization.

Additionally, I have Telegram screenshots of our conversation where **Edited for Community Guidelines** further elaborated on their fraudulent requests and actions.

I have since changed my password and enabled two-factor authentication to secure my account. However, I am deeply concerned about any potential damage that may have been caused during the time they had access.

Please take the following actions:Investigate the activities of **Edited for Community Guidelines** and take appropriate measures against their account.Review and remove any unauthorized job postings or actions taken using my account.

Provide guidance on any further steps I should take to ensure my account's security.I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.

I am attaching screenshots of our communication, including the Telegram messages, for your reference.

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,Wissem Guemri
