VAT ID Spain

Hello! I’m a non-U.S. taxpayer (Italian nationality but living and working from Spain). My VAT ID was not approved, and I saw for the community that other people are having the same issue. I have 11 charachters and Upwork only accept 9. Could anybody help me out with this? Thanks!

Hello! I’m also a non-U.S. taxpayer (British nationality but living and working from Spain). My VAT ID was not approved, and I saw that other people are having the same issue. Foreign nationals that are full-time resident in Spain are given a VAT ID that has 11 characters, not the usual 9. Can you also escalate my issue to support please?

Hi there! It seems that there is a problem with anyone from Spain. 
I am facing absolutely the same problem, my VAT ID was not approved.
I can't seem to find a way to open a support ticket myself for this.

The support ticket they send is automated and just gives further instructions about VAT and about how to enter a 9 character ID. It seems that Upwork don't care about this issue? Could a moderator please escalte this with support please?? @arjayM
