Hi,
I keep getting waiting for connection error on my messages and I cannot send any messages. My connection is fine, I have tried on other browsers and devices as well and nothing is working.

having this same error now, did the items abbove work? I've tried and still have the waiting for connection via web browser, downloaded and installed the app and get error

For the Upwork Desktop App, you may want to try uninstalling and installing it again, then log back into your account. Let us know if the issue persists with a screenshot of what you can see from your end; we'll look further into that for you.
