I am trying to find a proper tax form for my USA LLC as a Canadian and cannot find one anywhere and chat is not helpful at all.  I need the W-8BEN-E.  My tax forms and tax information area only gives me option for W9 or W-8BEN.  I need the one that's missing.  Anybody know where I could find that?  Even when I go to the sources option, it is not there.

Hello Beverly,

If you have a single-member LLC, we would need the W-8BEN information here.. This means that we need the information based on where you reside, not the information associated with your LLC. This is the case because of how the tax code in the U.S. is constructed and how single-member LLCs are treated. You may also want to consult with a tax advisor.  Furthermore, here is an excerpt from the W9 instructions.

Hello Ivy:

I did fill out the W8BEN because it did not give me a choice to fill out the WEBEN-E.  There is no form supplied to do this. I went through the whole website and the tax information section, I already know from my tax person that I need to fill out this form so my entity gets paid, not me personally but there is no form supplied on the Upwork website.  I do not know how to proceed from this point on.
