"Request failed with status code 400" when trying to upload portfolio piece

I already uploaded one case study to my portfolio with zero issues but when I try to upload a second case study to my portfolio, it refuses to accept the .pdf file for said case study with the error "Request failed with status code 400".

 

I have cleared my cache and cookies multiple times and the file is less than a single MB so it is well under the size limit. I have also searched online for solutions to this error code but the only results I can find are from this site with answers that involve a mod simply saying "your issue has been submitted to an open ticket and an agent will assist you shortly" or something along those lines and nothing else involving the actual solution(s). So, since I cannot find an answer on my own, I am now asking for help here in solving this problem.
