Hi guys.... Do you think that citizenship could be a hurdle for hiring freelancers.? I´m applying for many english => spanish jobs but it´s still quite difficult. However, I have this feeling that as soon as the situation in Venezuela gets better, mine on upwork will get better too! jajaja.... Let´s wait and be optimist what else.!

English <-> Spanish translation is a category that is totally overcrowded. There are way, way, way more translators, or self-proclaimed translators, in this language pair that the market can support. Additionally, Venezuelans make for a very cheap labor force considering how bad the economy is in the country. Many clients know it and take advantage of the situation.

That´s right about too many translators in this area (spanish-english), well let´s wait although I´ve followed good strategies or at least that´s what I thought... It´s totally overcrowded.... it´s not about upwork what else....
