Getting Paid

I'm a non-US freelancer (I live and work outside the US) who would like to get paid using a US bank.  All earnings will remain on the US bank account.

1. Do I need a TIN?

2. Do I need to file taxes with the IRS?

Not if you are not a US resident for tax purposes.

Remember the bank account you want to use must be yours and in your name.

I mean No offshore transfers, like what is done using Skrill and Payoneer, etc.

So how would you access your money? If the money was withdrawn or used by a person in the USA, the situation could be different.

Hi thanks for the question. However, I'm speaking specifically to earnings deposited into the account from Upwork as an alternative to using payoneer and Skrill. I'm just trying to understand which method is best for getting paid.

Actually some aspects of my question was answered here https://blog.invoicely.com/freelance-payment-methods/. Thanks
