I'm new to Upwork and had a question for the veterans: What kinds of work would you put in your portfolio if you're working in the editing niche? I have a friend's work I'm editing, but I don't think I should post others' work that I've edited as portfolio examples. I do some creative writing on the side, but that's not my main purpose for using Upwork. I've read suggestions of adding a blog. What are your guys' thoughts? Any feedback is appreciated!
Ask clients to use part or all of their edited documents in your portfolio. Do something to prevent people from stealing your portfolio items (such as watermarking them).
