Hello Avery, the funds went back on my upwork account on the 8th day.

"Please be advised that your previous remittances was forwarded by Upwork to Metrobank. However, there has been a recent mandate from BSP with regard to the processing of remittance. An instruction was sent to participating Banks to ensure that remittance transactions are processed using the correct beneficiary bank, hence, the automatic return of your recent transactions with Upwork.

We encourage you to utilize other electronic channels in sending your remittances, in the meantime, while coordination with Paypal to include PSBank in the list of beneficiary banks is in process."

-PSBank's Support.

I already applied to another bank and just waiting for the 3 days period to activate.

Hi everyone,

I would just like to note that our Payments Team confirmed that we do not support remmittances to PSBank. Only the banks listed here are supported.

Hi Avery,

I think I made a mistake withdrawing my funds last January 23, 2019 thru PS Bank (LFT) -- let me know if how can I get my funds back to me.

Thank you.

Hi David!

I would like to ask if this is still valid? Are you still having problems with PSBank?

I just opened my account in PSBank until I saw this.

Thank you!

I've been using PSBank for the past couple of years with the Metrobank BRSTN and didn't have any issues (usually receive my withdrawal within 1-3 days after I receive he Upwork confirmation email).

I withdrew last July 30 and as of today still have not received the money in my account.

Was anyone able to request a trace of their withdrawal to a recent PS Bank that have not arrived yet? I have to wait until Tuesday next week to initiate one for mine.

This is about a bank transaction I have had just recently not with PS Bank but with Metrobank.  For so many days, a specific caller kept on "pestering" my phone.  My caller ID identifies the "scammer" with the phone number 571**** with an area code that belongs to the Metro Manila area.  For days, I have been so puzzled as to who the caller might be.  Google could not give me accurate details.  One time, I got the courage to answer the call and heard a female voice at the other side of the line telling me about my Metrobank transaction regarding my BIR payment.  What caught my attention was that the bank teller mispronounced my family name and when I checked Metrobank's phone number for that specific branch via Google, I found out that the numbers didn't match.  The next time the caller "pestered" my landline number again, I simply ignored her calls.  My son would turn the phone off if he happens to hear the phone ringing.  Last July 16, 2018,  a Metrobank's officer visited me to personally let me sign my BIR payment slip.  I realized then that I must have an account with them before my BIR payment can be processed.  So is it possible that the one who was calling me was a Marketing Officer who wanted me to open a savings account with Metrobank?  I went to the same bank for my 1701Q payment last July 25, 2018 and I realized that it was about the family name issue. Hyphenated family names (in the BIR Form) versus non-hyphenated family names (in the payment slip) seem to be unacceptable.  At any rate, the puzzle has been solved already and I was, in fact, honored to have had a bank visitor that day. A bank officer visited me at my home address and brought the payment slip for me to sign on.  That was quite strange but then I guess that both of us -- I mean the bank and I -- went through a strict verification protocol.  The take-home message is to make sure that the details in the BIR form corroborate STRICTLY with what is written in the payment slip and the account holder space must be signed -- even when one does not have a Metrobank account yet.

I've encountered this kind of problem, as of now, I didn't receive my remittance. I check my local bank which is PSbank and they said that I entered a wrong BRSTN. Please help me on this matter.

Data inconsistencies may lead to our inability to withdraw our earnings, Ires.  What I do know is that PSBank is a subsidiary of Metrobank and that if I click on the green question mark beside the bell with an orange superscript each time I receive a notification, I can get access to the Help and Support page.  Using the Get Paid >> Payment Options >> Bank Codes >> Philippines BRSTN sequence, I do not see PSBank's code there.  What I see is Metrobank's code which is 010269996.

Going beyond the code, Metrobank has faithfully assisted me in my tax payment transactions.  The most recent unforgettable encounter I had was with a bank personnel who accepted my 1701Q for the first quarter of this year and processed my documents while I was having a final interview with a local employer.  That was a very humane bank tellering transaction I have had this year.  What surprised me was that when my son and I returned to the bank to get my tax documents, the papers were neatly secured inside a brown envelope with some coins.  They did not ask for any service charges and seemed very happy to accommodate my pleas although I received a stern warning not to do it again next time.

This has led me to see why there is such a concept as "efps".  Under the TRAIN Law and as favored by Upwork's ToS, an Upwork freelance contractor may opt to have a mixed income and having a Php 10,000.00 fund for "efps" will save one from getting into trouble with long queues since everything may be done virtually.  As for Metrobank and other local banks, online banking seems a viable option to get things done.
