How do I register for an event?

1. Select an event to attend.
2. Click "Register now."
3. Fill out the requested information.
4. You’ll receive an event registration confirmation email once you've successfully registered. 

How do I join an event if I have registered?

1. Click “Go to my event” in the confirmation email you received.
2. Enter your first name, last name, and email address. Then click “Next.”
3. You'll receive an email containing a verification code. Return to the login screen, enter the code, and click “Log in.”

Verification codes are typically sent within 45 seconds of submitting the request. If you haven’t received your verification code, click the “Didn’t receive a code? Try again” link on the event login page.   

All codes will be sent to the email you registered with. If you still haven’t received your verification code after a second attempt, we recommend double-checking which email you received your registration confirmation email from.

Verification codes are only valid for 72 hours. To log back in, you will need to request a new verification code.

For security reasons, your login stays valid for 72 hours; however, you may also be logged out after 24 hours of inactivity.

Here are three ways you can help ensure the best viewing experience:

• Check to make sure you have a strong internet connection
• Close non-essential tabs in your browser
• Reload the session page if you experience buffering, or your video freezes

Once you’ve joined the virtual session and landed on the overview page, you can access the full event experience from your desktop or mobile device. 

From there, you can watch the live stream once the event has started, join collaborative sessions if available, chat with other event attendees, share your questions in the Q&A, provide feedback about the event, and more.

Most online events are recorded. If there is a recording available, you can watch it by clicking on the respective event in the “Past Events” section.

Events hosted by Upwork are usually free to attend. If there is a fee or other cost for participating -- which is very rare -- we will let you know in advance. You do need to register to attend though. Once you have successfully registered, you will receive a confirmation email.

To attend an event, you will need a ticket. Unfortunately, If an event is fully booked and no more tickets are available, you will not be able to join. However, we encourage you to explore upcoming events on our events page.
