Ranked to Upwork Staff? what does that mean?

Recently i received a notification mentioning "You are ranked to Upwork Staff".

What does that mean? Is this a bug?

My guess is these are levels handed out depending on how much we interact in the community/forum.

I am also a staff.  However,  Elisa told me it was a mistake.  Upwork meant to say 'stuff ', but the freelancer they hired to write that misspelled.

I was awarded the same badge recently and was wondering the same. Maybe it's just a community badge, and its based on our level of interactions as Roine pointed out. Staff could just be a level in the badge ranks, just as there is a Customer Service Superstar badge I got last year, but this badge shows in the Achievements.

The Staff badge is not showing in achievements though.
