Hello,
I just accepted an offer for a job, I will be paid hourly so I will not emit any invoice.
The question is, must I have a VAT number even if I don't emit invoices? Because it's like I'm a kind of employee rather than a Freelancer.
Also, the job could lasts more than 6 months, so I might exceed the 5000€ roof (a freelancer must have a VAT number in Italy if he would cross this roof).
I can't really figure it out!

Move to Serbia to avoid these issues. 🙂
My understading of VAT is it's used for Agency contracts only, it applies only for EU (talking about Europe anyway), and you don't need to have a company VAT, you can just use your personal details. But maybe I'm wrong.
