How can I make my profile 100% appealing and professional?

Hey everyone, It's my first time in the community and I need your advice to grow my career on upwork. Can you take a moment to visit my profile and suggest me some changes and best practices to attract buyers and get hired ?

Alamin,

 

The first thing you should do is provide more information in your overview/summary to help clients see the value in hiring you. There are thousands and thousands of data entry specialist on Upwork, so getting attention can be a challenge.

 

1) Remove these from your summary:

 

"**Experienced Data Entry Specialist and Web Research Expert**"

"Hi I am Alamin."

 

When clients search for freelancers, only the first 200-225 characters of your summary are shown. This means you have very little space (approximately two short sentences) to get their attention. You want clients to see their goals (your services and results) in this small space. You waste space with greetings, names, and repeated words from your full title.

 

2) A long list of services doesn't mean much to clients; most data entry specialists will list the same services. Use your summary to tell clients what you can do to meet their needs and get results. For example:

 

  • Describe your strengths and why it should matter to the client.
  • Exactly how many years of experience do you have as a Data Entry Specialist/Operator?
  • Talk about your typing speed, accuracy, attention to detail, and how you can maintain quality standards.
  • Also talk about your time management and organizational skills.
  • Which software applications and tools are you familiar with?
  • Talk about your ability to solve administrative problems and adapt to changing or new requirements if necessary.

 

Remember--you are competing with thousands of data entry specialists, so clients need several reasons to choose you.

 

3) Add short job descriptions to each job in your employment history. A job description is especially important when the job is highly relevant to the services you provide on Upwork. Upwork uses keywords in job titles and descriptions to match you with relevant jobs.

 

4) You should also consider adding a project catalog. The project catalog allows you to setup a pre-packaged service that clients can buy without you sending a proposal. Due to higher than usual requests for project catalogs, reviews and approvals are taking 10 to 30 days to complete. Read Get Started With Project Catalog for more information.
