Client outside of Upwork

I just want to ask if this situation break the upwork policy.

Actually, I met a client outside of Upwork, and since Upwork is the most trustful third party freelancing platform, we discussed to work on Upwork.

I understand that it may break the Upwork poliicy to communicate outside of Upwork before contract is started.

In this case, what should I do?

You can use a direct contract to bring the client on Upwork. Upwork encourages this approach. Simply start the contract on Upwork and proceed with your work.

Hi Mykola,

I want to clarify that it wouldn't be considered a violation if you met outside of Upwork previously. You can continue using the communication channel you prefer.
