Data Entry Job with promising Salary

A recruiter offered me a job in Data Entry where I only needed to transfer words from 100 screenshots/images to MS Word over four days, with a salary of $2500.

This began when I was searching for a client and came across a post seeking a V.A. and Admin. I applied, and although only a Data Entry position was available, I accepted it. The recruiter then referred me to a Project Manager and instructed me to contact him via Telegram. At this point, I began to feel doubtful as something seemed off. The Project Manager requested some personal information: my full name, age, and country of origin. This seemed standard, so I didn't suspect anything unusual except for the task he assigned me: to convert words from PDF screenshots to MS Word by typing at least 100 pages for $2500 over four days. Despite it seeming too good to be true, being trusted by a client for the first time on Upwork felt like an achievement, especially since it was my first time here and it would be a valuable experience that I could showcase on my profile for other clients.

However, after conducting a thorough investigation, I discovered that this was part of a scheme known as . I posted screenshots exposing these individuals who introduced themselves as representatives from **Edited for Community Guidelines**. I also suspect that these names are not their real identities.

I am deeply upset and annoyed by today's experience. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else here, especially those whose intention is to earn money for their families.

A real client will never ask you to give them money to start working, cash a check for them, work for free, or provide your personal information. Report suspicious behavior
