I have been working in the domestic translation market in China for more than 10 years. As a fresher my experience at Upwork was horrible. 😔

At Upwork, I had 90 connections for proposal submissions, including 60 new account connections, and 30 rising talent connections. As a newbie, I invested around $20, from which I earned only $38. Out of which Upwork again took a cut of $6. 😩

I know the $ amount here is very small. But it was too much for me as a newbie. I've tried different ways, and I've gone through the bidding. But could not reach the client. I was disappointed day after day. I can do the client's work, but I can't reach the client. So I can't get the job. 👍👍

Among them, Upwork's new boosting system disappointed me more. I wasn't just relying on Upwork. I have also tried other marketplaces. At the end of the day, I was not successful in the marketplace. Sadly, I have only completed 2 jobs within the marketplace. I have done a lot of successful projects outside the marketplace, but this marketplace is not my companion. 😊

I am not able to succeed despite trying again and again, new updates are making it more difficult for me.
I'm not blaming the marketplace here, I'm blaming myself. Because many people are working, except me.

Still, I am hopeful that one day I will be able to do something good in the marketplace. 🙋‍:male_sign: Be it now in its niche or any other niche. I love to work with new people.
