Hi I've had my account for a year now and have not really understand how this works. My main concern is how legit is this. Cause i lost interest when my friend thought she got a job. wasted 5 days interpreting for someone from Spanish to English and in the end found out it was a scam. I would like to know what is my status name if I'm looking to work for someone. What does FREELANCER means. Does it refer to me as someone looking to work for someone or me hiring someone to work for me?

I hope you undertand what I'm trying to say.

I have just recently joined Upwork on March 29 th. I am still waiting to get my profile approved. Not knowing this , after creating my profile, I immediately applied wand used my coins to boost my profile for clients to see . Not sure how long I have to wait to get everything started. I have lost my coins or not sure what u guys call and lost that job opportunity as well . 
please let me know , how long this process take ? When I will be able to start working on getting my jobs ?
