If the action buttons that you usually use are grayed out, the Trust & Safety team may have suspended your account. In that case, you will have received a support ticket with an email notification about the action on your account. Please refer to your ticket on this page and reply to the email if you have any questions for the team.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern and request an immediate review and reinstatement of my Upwork account, which was recently suspended by huge misunderstanding due to a identity verification in payment method . I have the same account issue that Joseph describe.
I would like to clarify that I am unable to use a personal Payoneer account due to family restrictions. After a thorough discussion with Upwork support, I was permitted to use a joint Payoneer account with my sister. This joint account is a shared bank account where both my sister and I are listed as beneficiaries. I have all the necessary documents proving that both of our names are on this account.
Recently, in a state of confusion caused by an attempted hacking incident,(a person asked me to sell my account.but I refused) so in a hurry I updated my account information image etc. Unfortunately, due to the selected image I received the identity verification notice, I immediately corrected the image. And locat my ID card that is missing at this time,
Mr.Maya a verification manager asked us to connect with you soon but after some time when she noticed the name mismatch, it resulted in my account being suspended due to this name mismatch on my payment method, despite having prior permission to attach it. What was even more shocking was that the suspension occurred without a request for any verification documents, which I am fully prepared to provide. (Because you now have a joint account allowed)
This situation has been incredibly distressing, especially considering that Upwork explicitly allows joint accounts. I have ongoing contracts and funds in my account, and this sudden suspension has severely impacted my ability to fulfill my professional commitments.
I kindly request that you please review my case thoroughly again, because I am sure it's a big misunderstanding.and you people suspended my account in hurry without asking me any verification. So the attached documents that confirm the legitimacy of the joint account. I am more than willing to provide any additional information or verification required to resolve this matter swiftly.
Thank you for your attention and understanding. I deeply value my relationship with Upwork and am hopeful for a prompt resolution to this issue.

While I was out of country, upwork asked for some verification documents. Since I didn't have access to those documents, I was unable to upload them in a weeks time. As a result, upwork has suspended my account. I did submit an appeal request, but haven't heard back from them after several days.
Can someone please provide guidance on how to approach this?

Hi Support Team,
I'm reaching out because I recently received a notice requesting that I verify my identity. I promptly provided my passport and a copy of a letter from my municipality, which included my address, first and last name. Despite this, I later received an email stating that my account has been permanently suspended.
I've tried contacting the support center multiple times but haven't received any further responses. I'm genuinely confused and concerned as to why my account was suspended in the first place.
I'm willing to provide any additional information or documentation needed to get my account reinstated. This includes more photos, proof of identity, or even a video call to verify that it is indeed me.
I had to create this new account just to be able to post this message, and I sincerely hope someone can assist me in resolving this issue.
Could someone please help me to get my account back?
I can provide my email address from my banned account if needed.

I had an account here that has been suspended in 2022 due to sanction policies regarding freelancers operating from Russia and Belarus. I am living outside of Russia now, but I was unable to recover my account because I got an email saying that my account is either non-existant or not suspended. If I try to log in, I get a warning that it has been suspended. So I assume it exists?.. Is it still possible to recover and keep my old account instead of the new one I created?

Dear Upwork Support Team,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the handling of my account suspension. My account was in good standing when I was approached by a hacker attempting to purchase it. Suddenly, without warning or an opportunity to verify my identity, my account was permanently suspended.
Since then, every attempt I make to communicate or resolve this issue results in further suspensions of my other accounts, leaving me with no clear path forward. I have all the necessary proof of my identity and have been trying each day to discuss the matter, but I feel unsupported.
I have never violated Upwork’s Terms of Service, and it is incredibly frustrating that my account was not protected from hackers, nor was I given proper guidance on how to proceed. I need your assistance in getting my account back, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to prove my identity.
Please guide me on the proper steps to take, as I am determined to resolve this issue and regain access to my account.
