Can't get a escrow refund after closing the job

Hi, I've initiated a contract with a freelancer from my recent job post and added money to escrow and after that I proceeded to close the job assuming that the contract is initiated and I don't anyone else to apply. But after closing the job it shows on the contract that the job is withdrawn and I can't get the refund from the escrow.
