Hi, my name's Moe and here's what happened.
I entered my Debit Card details at 6 AM into Upwork to receive payments(enable payments) as freelancer and by 9 AM , I was hacked. The hacker made 3 transactions on Apple.com and my guess is that they bought gift cards. I lost about $180 and I have receipts to prove it. My bank has blocked my Debit Card and they will issue me funds after an investigation after 120 Days. I am frustrated, I need to pay bills and I now have to wait for a new debit card and I lost a lot of money. I checked Upwork Community Forums and it turns out that this has happened to many users in the past and this is a known issue. Someone in your company is leaking customer banking data!!!!
I don't even use Apple Pay or anything
I don't even use an ATM machine.
I do not even do online shopping with my debit card.
I need to talk to someone! I need help! Upwork!!!!!
