Double check in your Settings the phone number typed and make sure that your phone doesn't block these types of messages.

My number is correct and I've reentered it a dozen times. My phone receives these codes all the time, including one this morning from another site. I'll try the app.

Hi there,
Can anyone assist me with what i can do to either bypass or actually receive a code to verify my phone number on my account?
I am not receiving any code at all and have waited a long time.

HI There,
Ihave verified my account by verifying my email and a 2step verification authenticator app code. However, it is still asking for an SMS code, which never comes through. I have tried every thing, from restarting my phone, computer, clearing history/cache etc.
I have tried everything your chat bot suggested, still not working.
Also, it says on the main page I have verified my phone, however, when i go to post my ad it asks for the sms code. I have chamged my settings to authenticator app. Doesn't make a difference. Very frustrating.
Please help.

I have been trying to complete phone number verification. The system does not appear to be sending SMS messages.
I've tried hitting the "send new code" button. I've tried this in a different browser too.
I'm based in Australia, I don't know if that should make any difference.
I'm very frustrated and the online support chat won't allow me to speak to a human.

I am on the last step of creating my Upwork account and even though the popup says that it is sending my cell a verification text. However, I never get that text. I have been trying for 3 days now, on my cell phone and on dmy work office. I also tried at home on my iPad and Desktop PC. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
