FRAUD!!! Please let me know what should I do to reduce my loss??

The client called Merry Ke posted a job on May 21, 2022 (**Edited for Community Guidelines**) and I submitted a proposal. Merry contacted with me on details and said her colleague would send me an offer.

On May 22, 2022, her colleague called **Edited for Community Guidelines** send me an offer and I also confirmed with her on translation contents, then I started my work. Finally, I finished all and get her approval for payment.

But today, I received a notification email saying the fund was returned without any other information? What happened? What should I do to prevent my loss? I attached all communication details FYI. Please kindly help me!!

Hi Peter. I am so disappointed to hear that but I still need to know how I was scammed? Does it mean that the person sending the files and the person sending the offer must be the same person?
