How To Return a Partial Payment To a Client?

Hi,

I was working on a project where the client had made an escrow frund for 7 articles. He liked the work quality.

After 5 articles he paused the project for some personal reason but released the full payment. 

I would like to return him the extra amount. How can I do so? Kindly help.
