My testimonials are wasted

I know I am not the first to bring this up, but I am unable to get a testimonial posted on the site if the client doesn't have a LinkedIn account. This is very frustrating, and, dare I say it, unfair and discriminatory. Not everyone has a LinkedIn account - far from it. I have some excellent testimonials piling up in my inbox but I can't use them. This makes it impossible to portray my services in the light that they deserve.  Upwork's attitude as per the chat line seems to be that it is what it is, take it or leave it. Surely a company with the stature and technical nous of Upwork can come up with a more equitable solution? Is Upwork even open to this?
