Unable to see the latest messages on a conversation with a Freelancer

I didn't use the app for a while, and now as I'm checking the conversation thread I have with a Freelancer, the latest message I am seeing was from December of 2023 and it's now March of 2024. I know that there are new messages because my workmate are also in the conversation thread  and they were exchanging messages which I don't see on my end. Pleas ehelp me fix this. Thanks.
