contact ended suddenly by itself

I've accepted an offer from a client and a contract was made successfully. but after 2 hours the contact was ended. I asked the client and he said that he dosen't know what happend. no reason was provided for the end of the contract and the money in escrow wasn't released. I only got this message

we was able to set a new contract but I just wanted to know what went wrong.
