Citizen of One Country, Living / Paying Taxes in Another, Help

Hi, I am creating my profile and have a question about the 'Tax Information Section'. There is a question for 'Country of Citizenship' and I am unsure of what to put there.

I am a citizen of Ecuador, but currently living in Canada while awaiting my Permanent Residency Status. I will be paying Canadian taxes on any income.

Should I put the country that I am a citizen of, Ecuador? Or the country in which I will be paying taxes in, Canada?

Thank you for reaching out to us. For tax purposes, it’s important that you use your real, permanent address. Also, when using Upwork, you should be logged in from the country listed on your account. You can also check this help article for more information.

I would like to clarify that If you are only a citizen of Ecuador then that is what you should indicate in the 'Country of Citizenship' field.
