Hair Pulling Portfolio Pain

I may be an edge case, but trying to add projects to my GENERAL PORTFOLIO is maddening! 

The jobs I do require multiple disiplines. They don't fit into one neat and tidy little category.

When I try to add a new portfolio Item it forces me to select whatever Specialized Portfolio DRAFT I have... meaning I can only add skills that fit into that ONE "Related Specialized Profile"

I am unable to add ALL the skills that were required for the job because the system forces me to stay within ONE specialty.

This is problematic.

Can this nightmare be addressed?
