Hi!
I'm fairly new to Upwork, but I've already worked two jobs for clients that went well. However I haven't received client reviews for either. Is that because the client hasn't officially closed the job? I've completed the work I was hired to do, but both mentioned they'd use me again down the road. Does the client need to close the job, or is that something I can do? Should I even bother doing that if it's possible they'll hire me again?

If you think the client doesn't have any work for remaining for you on the current contract, you can ask them to close it out. If they have more work in the future, they can always open another contract with you. Given that you're new, it's probably best to ask them to close the contracts so you get the reviews and more progress towards your JSS (especially if things went well).
There's also a new feature where you can ask a client to leave feedback after 30 days for open contracts, but that will not (currently) affect your JSS. There's a tab on the contracts page for that.
