I would like to verify my ID.  I haven't been asked for it yet though. But the problem is I can't find any link to get started.

Where can I find the ID verification link?

Hi Chris,

In order to complete this process, please go to your Account - Settings - Identity verification and click on the Get Started button. 

Start this verification process by uploading an official government-issued ID and then proceed with meeting with us for a short video call.

It doesn't look like you need to verify your account yet. Please know that verification cannot be requested. If the team finds the need to verify your account, you will be notified through an email, or through a notification in your account with more information on how you can complete the verification process.

Hello Goran! This solution worked for me, cleared the cache and managed to take the selfie, but I am having second thoughts about the ID CARD photo I uploaded, is there a way to change it? It is still under review.

I checked and it looks like you are not yet required to complete this step. If you are required, you’ll be notified upon log in to complete the verification process by uploading a non-expired government-issued photo ID and meeting with us for visual verification. After we’ve confirmed your identity, the new badge will be displayed on your profile.

If you become eligible/required, we will notify you when you log into your Upwork account.

I would like to clarify that your client can hire you even if you do not have an “Identity Verified” badge.

Hello there, I have 100% completed profile but there is no option showing in my account settings anything about the ID verification option. I have tried several times to upload my national ID card. But each time I am getting an issue stating that: We couldn't verify your identity. On the other hand, I have been uploading my national ID card without editing or cropping. Please guide me to the possible states of this error.
