Invites from "Upwork Talent Specialists"

Not sure if this happens to everyone else or just me, but how come every time I get an invite from these so-called "specialists" they never seem to go anywhere? If they're taking the time to invite me, I would at the very least expect to get an interview but nope, 95% of the time they just end up ghosting me.

I know I could just ignore them but then my rating/JSS would be affected if I didn't reply to these. What's the deal here? Are they just spamming invites?

Your JSS is not affected by that. You can reply that you are not interested.

It's true that most of the time those invites end up in limbo. I was interviewed a couple times, though. What I find more annoying is actually that they have nothing to do with my skills.
