Hello everyone,
I asked a client to write feedback and he did, as well as giving me a higher evaluation "A little increase from 4.6 to 4.8", Could this make my JSS rise? I had only 4 jobs up till now and my JSS just came to be be 88%.
Thanks

No.
Words on the feedback have no effect. Provate feedback can not be changed.
Asking clients to change feedback is incredibly unprofessional in almost every case!

You will find it is a bit frowned upon to needle the client for better feedback, or feedback at all.
But since you asked.... of course any good feedback will help your rating. But more importantly, you need to ask yourself what went wrong and which weaknesses you need to improve upon to ensure better results in the future. 88% is not the end of the world, though.
More a matter of personal taste: don't reply to client feedback, it looks weird, and it takes up valuable space when a potential client looks at your profile, which should better be filled with your feedback from clients.

Welcome Matina, Thanks for replying and thanks to everybody else.
I really appreciate your advice. Actually all the 4 jobs I had went well. The problem with the last one is the client did not know what he needed, so after the first three milestones he dropped some work as he didn't need it. It was not a quality problem, but it was the nature of the clients :)). He gave me a good evaluation though, from his point of view, missing 0.4 points is not a problem, and it really shouldn't be. However, since I didn't have many jobs or a JSS before, it made the JSS to be like what you can see.
My question here, if asking the clients to review their feedback and replying to their feedback is not professional, why did Upwork make them? I am new here and I really want to advance my work.
Thanks for your replies.

No it didn't. The private feedback did.
Replying to feedback is optional, I rarely do, clients don't see it anyway.
Asking clients to change their feedback, unless the client made a mistake (such as thinking they left the feedback for someone else, or thought he didn't have a file when they did etc.) is unprofessional. Arguing over feedback is unprofessional. Asking for good feedback is totally unprofessional.

Ahmed,
Upwork doesn't want freelancers bugging or complaining to clients about feedback, which is almost certainly a big part of the Upwork's decision to require clients to leave both public and private feedback.
Clients can leave what appears to be highly positive public feedback and leave very negative feedback in private that the freelancer never sees. This reduces the likelihood a freelancer will complain to the client about unjustifiably negative feedback. Of course, if you only have one project close during a particular two-week period and your JSS drops substantially, you might assume the feedback from that client is the cause.
Not allowing a client to change their feedback also means there is little reason for a freelancer to complain, because the client's feedback can't be changed even if they would like to do it.

Ahmed,
Your question brings up two important issues related to client feedback and its effect on your all-important Job Success Score:
1) Do clients realize how their feedback is interpreted by Upwork's black box algorithms?
2) Do they care that giving what may appear to be an average score (3 out of 5) is potentially a big problem for you in looking for new jobs on Upwork?
I respond to nearly all feedback from clients. Usually it is a very positive response, thanking them again for entrusting me with their project and encouraging them to let me know if I can help them in the future. But, if a client has been a total pain, I say that in my feedback. I am lucky enough to have choices about the types of clients I want to work for, including clients who are realistic in their expectations and experienced enough to know what unacceptable client behaviors I don't want to work with.

First of all, you don't need to ask a client to give you feedback. If a client closes a contract they HAVE to leave feedback. Then can't close a contract unless they leave feedback. Clients leave feedback according to their own interpretation. To some a 5 star rating might mean super, exceptional perfection and although the completed job may have been excellent, it didn't measure up to the clients interpretation of what a 5 star rating meant to them.
And asking a client to change their feedback IMO, is so totally unprofessional. If I were a client and a freelancer asked me to change it, I would. I would change it to a LOWER value.just on the basis of unprofessionalism from the freelancer.
Don't forget that there is 2 types of feedback. Public and Private. And although the public feedback can be changed, the Private feedback can not be changed for ANY reason. And the Private feedback is what affects your JSS score. And the only 2 things from the Public feedback that would affect your JSS score is a contract closed without payment or loads of contracts with no feedback.
