It's a general problem, not only yours. ☹️
Upwork changed the rules about bidding, so freelancer buy connects to boost their bids, and Upwork makes money from that.
You can see people boosting their bid with 500 connects. Crazy! So, something is happening that serious and professional clients are not posting jobs, or are not hiring, and the new bidding method is not fair or not decent.
I hope Upwork will do something about it (???)
In the meantime, many freelancers decided (me too), not to boost bids and/ or not to buy connects, or just bidding for real and serious clients (there are a lot of scammers also, so take care and don't bid for these jobs)
