Hello, I would like to know if a paid consultation is considered a "Service Contract"? According to the ToS:
Prior to entering into a Service Contract, you agree to communicate with other Users exclusively through Upwork.
The specific reason I ask is that after our 30 minute paid consultation, I would like to share links to my github site, as well as my personal website which has detailed portfolios and case studies. I positively do not want to violate the Terms of Service.

Hi John, as it is a previous client (due to the consultation), it's OK to exchange info, as long as communications remain on Upwork.

I dont understand what you mean. I've always understood that once a "Service Contract" has been initiated that communications can take place outside of upwork, as long as the Billing & Payments take place on the upwork platform.
I guess my question is more about the legal terminology. In the Terms of Service documents, there is no definition that I can find about whether a "Paid Consultation" is actually a "Service Contract"

Hi John,
I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Yes, a consultation is essentially a contract, and you should be able to share the links you're referring to with the client in this case.
