Seeking Expert Insights: Best Practices for Payout Solutions

Hi,

I attempted to reach out to an agent from Upwork for assistance, but it appears that this forum is the only available avenue to seek help, as the desired support was not found in the help center.

I am part of a group of students working on a project in the event services industry. We were inspired by the leading platforms such as Upwork when it comes to operating a marketplace or a digital labour platform. We are stuck on the payout solutions offered by these platforms to their suppliers/hosts. We aim to learn from the best practices to streamline our own payout process, which is currently manual.

As mentioned, currently, we handle payouts manually, where the customer makes a booking, the supplier approves, the customer pays, and the administration receives a notification of the approved payment. We aim to enhance this process by incorporating payout options such as PayPal or regular bank transfers to make it simpler and more efficient for our suppliers.

Has anyone here had experience implementing payout solutions for suppliers/hosts? How did you handle the process? What factors should we consider when developing our own solution?

We greatly appreciate any insights and advice you can share. Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

Zakaria

Looks like you need to post a job, seeking consultation from an expert in this field

This is definitely not something that you can ask Customer Support about.

And the help you can receive on this topic here in the Forum is extremely limited.

You need to post what you wrote as an hourly job posting on Upwork.com

Hire at least three different people to CONSULT with you.

The experts in this are going to be the third-party payment vendors, like Paypal. Contact them directly. As a potential customer, they are interested in educating you.
