Upwork requires ALL communication and contact to stay on Upwork until a contract starts. That is explicit TOS rules and probably for moderation purposes. If you both maintain communication off Upwork on some external channel, it will be harder for them to discipline a client with bad intentions. Just keep everything on Upwork and see if you can maybe authenticate the Google Merchant Center yourself under his account without sharing contact details. Good luck, Shafique!
